I like the full irish, because I really like the white pudding, but I really really adore the sauteed mushrooms and broiled tomatoes component most of all. That's totally beat most US breakfasts where you only get that if it's tucked into an omelette.

One of my favorite items at breakfast is a latke potato pancake, which I rarely see in restaurants which aren't kosher diners, but which is just as good as hash browns, but gets that tangy sour cream. Mmm. I make them often at home.

My favorite alternative breakfast is chilaquiles with chicken and I like verde a bit more than rojo. Served with some hot chocolate, mexican style of course, or cafe de olla.

Yes I would. Don't know when/if I'll make it back to Scotland, but from the few times I've been I can say I liked it a lot. The people are funny, drinky and down to earth, the prices are reasonable and the country is beautiful. And the food is pretty good for a northern place.

Full English is so unnecessary.
