Did some steps ahead of time but took pics which I'll post. Brined some no solution added chicken legs for 6 hours with 2 quarts water, 1/2 cup kosher salt, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 3 cloves garlic. Then I rinsed and started what follows.

Added buttermilk and waited 2 hours.

Mixed a coating of equal parts AP flour and corn starch, added paprika, pepper, and a bit of kosher salt.
