Depending on where you are, it actually is. Look up "michelada." In Latin America, it's common to drink beer mixed with worcestershire saucer.

Michelada is beer with lemon and salt man. Maybe a little squirt of hot sauce, or red pepper flakes, but that's it. Worcestershire sauce doesn't even exist on latam.

There isn't a single recipe or michelada, it's just beer mixed with a variety of things. It's not uncommon for that to include worcestershire.

I live near the border, and I've been drinking in Mexico more than a few times. It's pretty common among the people I've seen drinking. Several times, I've seen it used as the only mixing ingredient; it's mostly up the the person making it and their taste.
