I like to have two packets of grits. I put in the microwave with two cheese singles. Meanwhile I cook 12oz of liquid egg whites on skillet, sprinkled with cheese flavouring. When it's all done I dump the lot into a big bowl, mix it up and eat with a milky coffee to drink

I'm not big on sweets, so I always use it with a braised meat and sauce. I'll also spread out the leftovers, let it setup in the refrigerator, cut into squares and fry in EVOO to form a crust on it. Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich have good recipes for it.

Grits aren't necessarily hominy, faggots. Hominy grits are always specified as such. Polenta and grits are both literally just ground corn.
