You drink a beer, and then tape your empty can to the bottom of your fresh can. Works better if you tape it before opening your new one. Each beer you drink progressively builds your wizard staff. Whoever has the longest wizard staff at the end of the night gains wizard status. It didn't happen last week because this is the first /ck/ wizard staff thread as far as I know...

It doesn't matter what you drink, just matters how much! /ck/ is about what we appreciate, but at the same time, we need to just let loose every once in a while. What's the point of playing Wizard Staff online? Wizard Staff is fun because you can order other party-goers to do stuff if your staff is long enough, and eventually get so drunk that you have sword fights with your staffs.
