what beers do you avoicd or choose at your average pub?
I like ales, blondes especially. I don't like IPA or anything murdered with hops
VB ya cunt
I drink the one they give me when I order a beer.

If they have anything dark and strong in cask then that. If it is a hipster IPA type place then whatever has the least pretentious name. If none of the above then leave.
Strongbow dark fruits
>average pub
They always have at least 2 dozen rotating taps, but I'll usually start with something like a double IPA and then move onto something darker.

Where do you go where you order a beer and they just give you one? They never ask, "Okay well we have about 20 or so, which one?"

>His pub doesn't serve Beer brand beer
I like this

>drink 4 shots of vodka at home
>go to bar and sip on cheapest beer available
Irishfag here, our pubs (especially auld man hangouts) are slow to catch onto the craft and local beer market. If I'm stuck in a place that's purely Diageo-owned beers (which is most rural pubs) a Guiness will be grand.
Or if I'm not fancying the Guiness shits I'll have a Smithwicks red ale

I avoid most lagers. You have to pay me to drink a macro adjunct, but I'm generally not a fan of any of the million pilsner spins that still dominate the taps at most big bars.
At an average place, I'm probably looking at Guinness or a Sam Adams seasonal. Or like, not drinking.

If I'm going to drink, though, I'm going to a bar that has a lot of good options. We have a local video game place, or World of Beer for that.
In which case I'll avoid IPAs, and go after usually anything in the stout and porter family. Occasionally I'll want a heffe, a sour, or an abbey beer.
