So what you are saying is you enjoy the taste of BBQ sauce more than you enjoy the taste of steak. Why not just make hamburger patties and put BBQ sauce on it and save a few bucks? If you don't enjoy steak for the taste of the meat, there is no reason to eat it. I put salt and pepper on my steak, and rub it with butter just as it's finishing. Garlic butter would also be acceptable. Anything else and you're just hiding the steak.
