Why is wooden tableware a bad idea?

Just don't use metal flatware on it, and it'll last a lot longer. You also can't leave it in the sink, and have to make sure you wash it right away because if something dries/sticks to it, it's horrible to let it soak.

>cant use metal on it
>only hand wash
>can't sit dirty
>need to be sealed to protect it
If you're going for renewable resources you'd be better off buying 2nd hand. If you're going for aesthetics then its probably not something you'd want to use everyday
Because those are tools of the devil

Need to hand wash immediately. Color and polish will fade. Porous. Flammable. Need to eventually replace. Too expensive to purchase a full set of dinnerware. Doesn't match kitchen furniture.
The only purpose I can ever think of using one for is a lightly dressed salad.
Everyone pretty much summarized it. Pretty, but not worth the headaches.
