Just make a rous
Kraft powder
>mac and cheese was never good
>mac and cheese is also now hipster food
>sautee any garlic/veggies you may want
>Roux
>minimal milk
>Maximal cheese
I like garlic, onion, tomato, spinach, and sharper cheeses but something like frozen berries, kale, red onion, and softer cheeses could be really good. Keep in mind that some cheeses melt better than others!

I have Colby-Jack cheese and some shitty store brand sharp cheddar. I have heavy cream and whole milk, will it be too thicc with cream?

Yeah, I want frozen berries and kale in my mac and cheese!
What planet do you live on bruh?
Best cheese sauce coming through
>flour and butter
>slowly whisk in milk
>processed cheese-like substance that comes in slices (trust me famm)
>sharp cheddar
>aged white cheddar
>salt, pepper, nutmeg, chilli flakes

I'm a big fan of this stovetop version, easy to make, very creamy and cheesy.

I always toast bread crumbs in a pan and sprinkle on top before eating.
Off-brand boxed macaroni and cheese, less milk than it calls for, more butter than it calls for. You will not beat this. All other posters are not to be trusted.

This looks good anon. I will try this right now.
If you aren't melting cheese into a bechamel sauce, you're doing it wrong. The rest is all personal preference...

This looks like a poor man's mornay
I like it
Proper Mac and cheese is made with a mornay and topped with shredded cheddar
