It's a refined oil; you only ever use un-refined oil for dressings and such since it's so much cheaper and you don't need to worry about heat durability

I liked it better, but I'm not a big fan of the taste of peanuts warmer than room temperature.

I never use anything but animal fats in cooking. Tallow, lard, suet, duckfat & bacon grease are all way tastier & healthier than any plant-sourced oils. Trust me, once you make the switch you'll never go back.
