This is never the best option. You should have made buttered toast with the bread and warmed the meat with the grated cheese in a skillet. Throw away the chips or add them to the meat and cheese to make a casserole.

It doesn't make sense to do it like in that image. There's not enough filling to justify an extra bread for structural integrity. I'd only really do it for a tall club sandwich, particularly if there are different filling combinations I want to "layer" rather than have all together for texture reasons.

The reason the club sandwich is so great is because thought went into the construction of the sandwich. OP's sandiwch is a big pile of ill-considered shit.

I went to some hipster cake shop to buy a cake for my girlfriend's* birthday last week and they also sold sandwiches. I got a turkey sandwich for lunch from them and it had potato chips in it, which I've never had before in a sandwich.

It was really good. I don't know if I'd do it at home, but it added a great texture and saltiness to everything.
