This is literally just BBQ shrimp from Louisiana with a spic name tagged on it.
it isn't bbq in the way you toss shrimp on a barbie or whatever. There isn't a grill or ppq pit involved in any way. It is called bbq erroneously but it is a New Orleans staple and incredibly delicious.
You know /ck/ is for casuals when most of the threads are discussing junk food.
From now on, everything that uses tamarind is South East Asian, and everything using Chocolate, Vanilla, Tomatoes, Avocados, or a lot of varieties of Chili Peppers is Mexican. I'm ok with that.
To the helpful anons who post Mexican recipes on /ck/ over the years.
Thanks, your Ausfag anon
