Any au apple junkies having a hard time? All that's left are very sad looking pink ladies, royal galas, red and golden delicious and they're all inedible. Only granny smiths are edible and only just. Jazz supplies dried up a month ago. I'd pay $20/kg for some good jazz apples right now.
Apple industry guy here, it was a real rough year here in the states. Hard to find much of anything. Late frosts threw everything off.

I was wondering why the apples this year have been so mushy. I cannot for the life of me find any decent ones at any grocer. Any suggestions?

That and all the good stuff is shipped to China now.
Got a good flow of honeycrisps
Feels good
My girlfriend knows I love trying new foods, so everytime she goes to Central Market, she grabs a few different kooky apples for me to try. I've got an Envy, an Empire, and a Sansa sitting in my kitchen.
I'm such a piece of shit. She loves me so much and I don't deserve her.
I gather my apples from a public orchard with weird old apple breeds. It's like roulette, sometimes you pick some that taste like ass when raw. I store them during winter as well.

Did yourself out of self pity, anon-kun. Throw your arms around this girl and at least vocalise your feelings, even if you feel so deep in depression you are unable to express it physically. She will understand.
