Been experimenting with popcorn by changing what fat I use to pop it.
Doing it on a gas stovetop in a 6 quart pot with lid. I put in 2 tablespoons of fat with 3 kernels, heat until the three pop, then put in about 1/3 cup popcorn and cover it until its done.
>Butter - standard, works great, tastes great
>Olive oil - grassy taste
>Bacon grease - smells good, but the end product has a greasy mouthfeel
>Vegetable oil - absolute shit. can't believe this was how my mom made popcorn when I was a kid.
Any other suggestions/strategies for making good popcorn? I have problems getting salt and seasonings to adhere to the popped corn.
avacado oil is what use
fucking coconut oil jesus christ it's what every one already uses just try google instead of wasting all this time
cocnut oil, kernels, flavacol. Mix together and pop and mix as it pops. Wow. Harddddd
One of these with coconut oil and theater spice seasoning.
I don't know about anyone else but I can't put the whole dose of coconut oil for popcorn, tastes too "perfect" and leaves an annoying, lingering smell of coconut in the house.
Maybe it's the potency. Anyway, I put 1 part coconut oil, 2 part veg or some other meme oil and it comes out perfectly.

If you buy the coconut oil for popcorn you don't smell coconut at all. I don't even know what you're talking about. I use 3 tbs coconut oil mixed with orange coloring, 1 teaspoon flavacol, 1/3rd cup kernels and spin my arm off. No coconut smell any where. No clue wtf you're doing. That's like saying movie theaters smell like coconut.
Popcorn is a meme
Duck fat, or truffle oil.
