my stepdad made me microwave ramen noodles in rootbeer and eat it once because i got bad grades on my homework, and then made me drop out and work to pay rent for my flooded basement hovel where i slept on cardboard covered in ripped up jackets with a pillow that was plastic bags stuffed with dryer lint. once he told me that technically i 'stole' the dryer lint, because it came from his clothes, but 'because he was a merciful king' he allowed me to keep my pillow without being punished. he was right too, since i wasn't allowed to use the dryer, i had to hang my clothes to dry... in the moldy basement, so they never dried really, they just got a really bad odor. eventually i just took my clothes to the laundromat a few miles down the road by carrying them, but that sucked if it was winter.
