Hvae you seen that youtube vids about the Japanese guy who makes omelette in a square pan, it's amazing.

Its for my imaginary jap schoolgirl gf
>>8371403
this pan is seasoned to perfection, the pan by itself would probably cost more than $100k if the guy were to sell it. i'm not kidding, this is years and years of seasoning. maybe even decades.
>>8371403
I don't get it, how does the egg not burn from being on there so long?
>>8371567
>seasoning
This is the "burn in" of cooking

I'm gonna be the voice of reason and mention that tamagoyaki is fucking nasty. Basically, you have to overcook the fuck out of the eggs to get the right texture to hold the shape; but when you do that the eggs taste gross. The jap solution? Add sugar. Unfortunate decision making there...
>square eggs
>round yolk
No, they are not square.
>>8372092
i think its delicious
>>8372092
the one at your local sushi place overcooks it, but if you do it yourself it's not too hard to get an even, soft texture throughout. It's a little more wobbly, if you watch the david cheng's mind of a chef series when he visits japan you can see the omelette he eats there almost falls apart in his chopsticks.
