You can easily tell is milks gone bad, just sniff it. If you smell anything sour, bacteria have begun converting the lactase and sugars

Generally perfectly fine. All expiry dates are conservative to be safe, so even with things like meat it's usually true. Except milk isn't going to fuck you up like meat and you'd know if it was bad anyway just from the smell and taste, kind of like eggs.

Don't trust numbers. Only trust the smell test. Milk sometimes goes bad BEFORE its expiration date.
