>worrying about the cabbage and not the delicious crunchy pickled radish
Also, I think any cabbage would do. I've never had cabbage with any Japanese curry I've had in a restaurant though.
It's just regular cabbage. The lacy, fluffy stuff you get in restaurants is usually cut from dedicated machiner, i.e., "deli slicer" built to shred cabbage.

Man. I tried the home run once. Once. It was a friendly reminder that my days of pigging out on large amounts of food are long past.

GoGo Curry was my GoTo food when I was drunk in Japan. Shit is delicious. So comfy to come in from the cold to a plate of delicious katsu curry.
Didn't like CoCo curry as much, although because I'm relatively accustomed to spicy food I ordered the 2nd hottest curry they had there and it was too spicy too enjoy for me. Plus it gave me the hiccups.
金沢カレーってやつだね
俺はキャベツはミスマッチだと思うけど
It's my favourite part too. I didn't even know it was cabbage. The only cabbage I ever had was my mums who just boiled it and it was gross. Now I love that cabbage salad
