Yea I had a similar idea - I have some iron and wooden sticks. Might be hard taking them out without ruining the structure, but it's worth a try.

My other idea was - maybe deep-fry the sticks, that will make them hard, and THEN put them in the oven, in the form of a structure I described, maybe with some cheese etc.

That.. actually is not a bad idea, bro. My 2yo kid loves fries - off course, I never serve them to him more often than a small plate on the weekend, but he does like to play with crane and hook toys I bought him... That might be awsome. :)
