How obsessed are you guys about WHOLE GRAINS?
I buy a pretty wide variety of bread, and it's usually whole grain. Most of the "refined" bread I buy is English muffins and sourdough.

then she tries to bake with whole grain flour and it sucks balls

I'd rather live five years less of it means not eating nasty whole grain foods
Not obsessed but I like it sometimes. Depending how I feel I buy a loaf of rye sourdough or a loaf of white sourdough. But every weekend I buy a few ciabatta rolls to eat with cheese and dip or turn into paninis.
I'm obsessed with rolled oats and brown rice and eat them every day.
Most mass produced bread doesn't have enough dietary fiber for me to consider eating every day though.

Wholegrain pasta tastes like fucking wet cardboard (same consistency too), can't STAND the shit, but some wholegrain or semi-wholegrain bread is quite good.
Whole-grain mustard is the best food
I almost exclusively eat whole grains when I consume grains. They taste superior and have the health benefits associated. And they are far more satisfactory and keeps me full for longer. So losing weight is far far easier
