Why does California seem to have a huge off the menu order selection? I'm visiting with a friend and all the fast food places seem to have all these secret items not listed on the menu but you can get if you ask for it. Is this some type of elitist bullshit or am I missing something?

It's not just California. Just Google whatever place you're going and secret menu. Even fucking McDonald's has shit like that. For example the Chicken Mcgriddle used to be one of those things before it hit the actual menu
