Wrong. Used to slave for Dominos, first as "Customer Service Agent" and then as shift manager ($.50 more an hour but you have to not only take orders, but prepare extremely specific orders and do inventory). It was absolute shit, but the WORST part by a wide, wide margin was taking orders over the phone.

Maybe you're very prepared, with your order clearly in mind and your credit card to your side. In that case, you were my best customers. I could confirm an entire order like that in less than thirty seconds.

Soccer Moms / Geriatrics:
>Thanks for calling Dominos, my name is Matt, how can I help you?
>Hi, what are your specials for today?
>List off every special we have
>You don't have anything with mumble humble grumble?
>Sorry, we don't
>Okay, I'll just take the two medium pizzas (they always take it even when I intentionally skip over it, which means they know what specials we have beforehand and it never fails to irk me)
>Okay, then what will you have?
>CHARLIE, WHAT DO YOU WANT
>hmm mmh hm mmmh
>Ok, half cheese half cheese and pepperoni, with no garlic crust, and only cook the pizza very lightly and divide the pizza into three geometrically perfect triangles and flip it over halfway through cooking and don't use the red sauce for pizzas but use the red sauce for your spaghetties and serrate the edge so it's easy to grab and don't let it come in contact with any of the other ingredients and make sure you wear gloves when you stretch the dough and cook it to an exact internal temperature of 130 F and pat it down with a napkin, CHARLIE, on second thought make that half cheese and half ham and...

Hispanics:
>dos piksas pls
>Delivery or carry out, ma'am?
>quero hawaiana

There are more, but these two can go on for ten fucking minutes, and are easy to fuck up when you've got fifty pizzas in the tube. When it's online, we can get to making it immediately instead of dicking around your extremely specific mumble.

A tip for domino fags, dont know if it works at other chains.

When ordering online, you have 4 choices for the amount of toppings.
Light
Normal
Extra
Double

Getting light or normal counts as 1 topping.
Getting extra or double counts as 2 toppings.

So if you are going to order extra anything, bump it up to double for no charge.

I didn't even buy. I was just checking the order out to see how much it would have cost, if you actually read the post. Since you did make that point, though, I do find that practice rather sickening and not worthy of my patronage. Two things are happening there. They beef up the order total as much as they can so that they nickle and dime out of the tip, and secondly, these corporate 'donation' are done so that they can make a glorious commercial saying that "we are such a good company that we donated this much money this year", without ever mentioning that those money that 'they' donated actually came from their customers.

I do make yearly donations through nonprofit charity specialist, and I don't need that.

Talked to some guy who worked there years ago
their pizzas cost 75 cents worth of ingredients. Everything else you're paying for the owner's fat wallet, the overhead, and the employees.

His fat wallet doesnt need to be that fat.

Friend also explained that when you order Extra Cheese you do not get extra cheese.
> They take half the cheese, put it on, put the ingredients on, then they put the other half of the cheese on top of them.

If you wanna test it or maybe get real extra cheese out of them, ask them "I absolutely want the ingredients on top, last time I ordered extra cheese they got some of it on the toppings and i really want my toppings on the top". Then if they dont actually give you extra cheese you can complain you ordered extra cheese and didnt get it, and demand free pizza.

---

To answer OP's question I dont really care about Dominos, their pizza tastes about the same quality as Pizza Hut except without this subtle funky flavor I notice in PH's.

There's a local place that makes great large deep dish pizzas for like $15 and you even get some drinks to go with it for free. Their sauce is great. I never buy from anywhere else.

> Except for Little Caesers, which is like getting Papa Johns or Dominoes for 1/3 of the price
> The key to extracting good pizza from Little Caesers is asking them to make a fresh standard pizza and get Extra Sauce on it.
> Extra Sauce on the pizza, make sure you tell em on the pizza otherwise they might give you a cup of marinara
> Extra Sauce on the pizza is free.
> The reason their standard pizzas taste like cardboard is because they have almost no sauce, but if you add even just a little bit they taste like Papa Johns except for $6 total.
>>
>>8330347
You can buy things that aren't pizza but still receive points and "Spend 60 dollars and get a free pizza" isn't really accurate because you can get a 12 dollar pizza and only receive 10 points
>>
>>8337390
The problem with little caesers is the dough is tough as fuck and the SECOND it cools off it becomes completely inedible.
>>
>>8336947

Pineapple has no place on pizza

Canadian Bacon yes but not with a fucking fruit. If anything double up on the canadian bacon if you want some sweetness on your pizza.

I can see how chewing through layer after layer of leathery CB can be a thing.

If somebody wants cooked pineapple about the only place thats valid is on a kebab.

>>8337411
I havent noticed. But then again people go on about papa john's as having good dough even though everything they put on top of it sucks.

I guess I just dont notice dough consistency, I prefer deep dish pizzas and im used to making my own dough at home.

I dont like a bunch of air pockets in my pizza crust. Like ill actually go otu of my way to chew a hole in the air pockets and stuff it with marinara sauce or something.

Only part of the crust I really care about is whats under the toppings, though id prefer the outer crust wasnt like unrisen chalk.

My priorities with pizza are the Sauce, Cheese, and Toppings.

Thick deep dish crust adds to the bulk so it makes it feel like im getting something worthwhile for my money.

A single pizza should fill me up for a full day's worth of meals and I can easily eat a $2.50 Jacks frozen pizza in one sitting.
>>
>>8337427

>>8332769

>>8330205
>>8331385

ought to mention it again because its such a lifehack

when you get little caesers ask em to make a regular large pizza fresh and get Extra Sauce on it.

it tastes like their deep dish without paying the extra price, like adding just a little bit of extra sauce makes enough of a difference its almost like getting pizza from somewhere else

I can only conclude its their cheese that doesnt have much taste to it, but the little caesers sauce isnt all that bad.
>>
>>8337432

not liking bacon on pizza is unamerican and potentially terrorist
>>
>>8337448
the bacon wrapped is garbage
>>
>>8337390
>They take half the cheese, put it on, put the ingredients on, then they put the other half of the cheese on top of them.
This sounds like a manager jewing for dat bonus. PH driver here, at our store they do put extra cheese on the pizza. We make the pizza like normal but put the extra cheese on the top to make it noticeable. Also, ordering just a cheese pizza will get you the same amount as extra cheese does.
>>
>>8337537
Oh, forgot to mention that if you get some special on the pizzas, extra cheese costs extra.
>>
>>8334095
