Opinions on croutons in french onion soup? I dont understand what troglodyte decided it would be a good idea to put the bread under the cheese in direct contact with the soup? It's just soggy like that. I always put my croutons ABOVE the cheese like a civilized fucking human so that I preserve the texture of my crispy crouton. Pic related.
