sorry to tell you but that isnt a poutine.
sour cream, cheddar, and onions don't belong on a poutine.
The "Slurp Smooth". Soy Sauce based broth. Was pretty damn good for a local ramen place.

Poutine is the biggest meme food in Canada. Holy fuck. You try one, it's shit, it's fucking chips, cheese curd, and gravy. But everyone charges a mint for it. Everyone treats it like it's some fancy, legacy, amazing Canadian invention but it's just three fucking ingredients shat on a plate.
You then tell someone "I don't really like poutine" and they say "You haven't had poutine at X's! Theirs is the best! No wonder you don't like it, what you had wasn't authentic!"
So you go to fucking X's joint and he makes you another expensive slab of chips, curd, and gravy. It's still shit, in fact, it tastes like the last plate of chips, curd, and gravy you ordered.
You speak to the guy who recommended it and tell him the truth; poutine is shit. "It must of been a bad batch man! He never makes bad poutine!"
Repeat this cycle for every single fucking town in Canada. Every fucking Canadian I've met tells me this. Sometimes the poutine has some other shit thrown in, or it's some "Quebec" secret recipe, but no matter what you're just eating fucking potatoes. Even this cunt >>8314178 says "That's not poutine", like adding some flavor is ruining poutines delicate existence of harmony between greasy chips, curds, and gravy. THIS is the food Canada prides itself on having created. A fucking 3 ingredient slob fest, marketed as the hallmark of Canadian cuisine, a defining landmark in their culture.
And it's chips, curds, and gravy.
