By the head some of it's carbs transform into tasty atoms. Tasty atoms are smaller than carbs atoms so the toast shrinks a bit (but also tastes much better).

Toast isn't supposed to be smaller. It means either your toaster or your bread is malfunctioning. If it's the toaster, I'd recommend you call cx service. If it's the bread, call the manufacturer
