What did you eat tonight /ck/?
I made this dope carbonara
>>8297149
would eat/10
ate chipotle and made choux au craquelin
pretty much only blueberry-flavored quark
>>8297149
i dont see cream.
>>8297177
You don't use cream in real carbonara. I did put the eggs in too early when the spaghetti was too hot, which made it less creamy than I wanted it to be.
>>8297149
A bottle of cab sauv and some sunflower seeds. Now I'm off to work.
>>8297149
why the basil tho ?
no basil in carbonara
other than that, it's looking ok
>>8297177
is this bait?
>>8297149
[SCREAMING IN ITALIAN]
What I ate the other day for lunch, it's called "pasta alla gricia"
>>8298019
Looks good
>>8297149
why basil? Also sweet flaccid, gigantic pieces of bacon anon.
>>8297979
That's the great thing about cooking. You can modify the classics how you desire!
>>8297149
Tortellini with a basil cream sauce and some sauteed mushrooms on top.
i ate chicken nuggets and ranch
duxelles stuffed pork loin roast with
sauted mushroom sauce,
sauted haricot verts and
gas station broasted potatoes.
Bluefin Tuna steak, sword fish, cured duck breast, prosciutto, bree, flaffel, lentils, creme brulee, sorpessata, a couple varieties of raw oysters (recently got some Olympia variants in), pork belly crackling, Ash smoked lamb sausage, those are the first things that I could think of, though there's a lot more.
>Chef Du Partie over all Sautee cooks, never have time to eat a meal, I just have a constant stream of tasting
carnitas torta
>>8297149
Fuck that looks good
This is my Blue Moon burger I made twice this week. Fucking divine.
>>8298019
so basically carbonara without eggs or cream
>>8297149
Looks good, OP!
>>8297149
Thai food.
I'm no purist, but I'm not sure why you would want basil in carbonara. Spaghetti is also overcooked.
Love that stuff op. I would have cut the leaves though !
>>8298347
> You don't use cream in real carbonara.
> That's the great thing about cooking. You can modify the classics how you desire!
Not that dude, but basil is pretty weird. Also looks like your eggs curdled up a bit. Other than that looks good!
>>8298815
> Cheese ain't melted
dude c'mon
Step aside!
>>8300072
I don't like cheese completely melted, sue me boi
>>8297149
Slices of ham, potatoes, some weird, white sauce and steamed vegetables. 5.7/10
>>8300379
>sausages not grilled
>mushrooms not even slightly caramelized
The suicide prevention hotline is at your disposal, you know.
>>8300967
>sausages not grilled
dude that's a weisswurst. you not suposed to grill a weisswurst
Had some plain pasta and some oil. That's all I can afford. Ate rice. Just a potato the day before. I'm so hungry. Having no money sucks.
>>8300967
>never seen or heard of weisswurst
Spotted the amerifat.
Baked a side of salmon according to a recipe. It came out incredibly overdone.
The cats seem to like it at least.
>>8297149
chicken curry with basmati rice, first time preparing it, it tasted ok.
>>8298815
I would destroy those fries.
>>8298383
my nigga
>>8298815
Is that ricotta on the burger?
>>8297206
sunflower seeds give you estrogen
do not eat
>>8297149
mom made bolognese
im starting to realize that my dad has really good taste in women
>>8301643
How does your mom taste?
>>8298815
awful fucking burger, fuck you. this is stupid as shit.
>>8301661

>>8300059
How do you know it's overcooked?
I made some shrimps.
>>8300059
Agreed
Why is there whole basil leaves in there? Also that spaghetti does look a tad over done
>>8301581
Nope, mix of blue cheese and cream cheese
>>8297149
>dope carbonara
wanna get high?
>>8299749
>carbonara
>cream
kys anon
>>8301677
Awww, baby gonna cry?
>only had pasta and I already ate that for lunch
>ate a whole cauliflower with some olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt
>been drinking Whiskey since 4pm
Truly a great Wednesday
>>8297149
why the fuck you put random leaves in that spaghetti
wtf
>>8297149
Basil is a nice addition but here it's just pretentious, you need to chop so it can infuse with the other ingredients a little bit and you want to have a bit of it every bite.
>>8297149
I made a carbonara, inspired by your thread and it turned out shit desu. creme fraiche, cheddar and particularly mozzarella might have been too much. Made it a bit weird desu
>>8297149
>basil
>big, udercooked pieces of bacon
just why?
>>8303637
Happy thanksgiving eve.
>>8303663
Came here to say exactly this
Grilled some chicken wings I had, gonna use the rest of the chickens for a casserole.
>>8304118
It's funny. Instead of just reading the comment and thinking to yourself "I totally agree with that" you had to reply to the poster stating, "I came here to say this." What does this add to the discussion? Why do you have to acknowledge what someone said for the sake of acknowledgement?
>>8304140
It reinforces the opinion and gives it more weight. I also think the basil looks a bit silly, but overall it looks great. :)
>>8304201
I agree with this. When one person expresses an opinion it's easy to dismiss in isolation. When the first person is backed up it becomes harder to dismiss offhand.
>>8304254
>When the first person is backed up it becomes harder to dismiss offhand.
Yeah, if you're retarded. I don't care if 99% of the posts support something flat out wrong, I'm disagreeing with it.
>>8303603
>mix of blue cheese and cream cheese
Excuse me while I vomit real quick. brb
>>8297149
I like the neatly arranged basil. Looks very pretty OP I'd eat it.
>>8304708
Curious though. What sounds so bad about it. People mix cheddar with cream cheese for jalapeno poppers all the time and it works wonderfully. Mixing it with blue cheese and putting it on a burger, essentially also bar food, isn't too far of a stretch.
