I hear you OP. I made goulash two weeks ago, it was delicious. Even though I didn't have as many onions as I wold have liked, and I couldn't put garlic in because of the smell.

Beef goulash is by far one of my top comfort foods. It reminds me of home. I like to eat it over very chunky mashed potatoes that have been seasoned with butter, salt, pepper, and a little dill. I also like it with egg noodles or spaetzle, but not as much. Fuck, now I want to make some, but I already have white bean & ham bone soup simmering on the stove for tonight.
