Hello,
I am not a usual cook. I want to bake salmon as simple as possible. I figured I would pick a ballpark range for length of time, but I've seen instructions telling me to cook it in temperatures ranging from 275 to 450, times ranging from 8 minutes to 35, so now I am completely lost.
What do you recommend?

Put some foil in a pan
Lightly coat both sides of the salmon with decent oil. Lately I've been using some lemon-infused olive oil which works great with fish.
Bake for maybe four minutes a side if it's about an inch thick. Pay attention to what's happening. It won't cost you money to check the fish more than once.
Microplaning some lemon peel on top of the fish is a nice touch and pretty easy to accomplish.

Put some oil in a hot pan. Rub the salmon fillet with salt, pepper and a little more olive oil. Put the salmon in the pan skin side down only and cook for a few minutes. Then transfer it to the top rack of a 400 degree C oven for about 5 or 6 minutes.

Thank you. I ended up doing 400, I rubbed down the salmon with some garlic-infused olive oil (it's what I had around) and then added a bit of salt and pepper. I'm checking it often. I'll let you know how it goes.
I am saving the youtube recipe for another day. Too much for lazy ol me right now. Taking off the skin before cooking is probably a good idea though.

>i am too stupid to do something on one of multiple sites dedicated to recipes, so i'll ask a bunch of neckbeard trolls what i should do.
just drink bleach if you can't pick a recipe and try it. i'm amazed you know how to breathe in and out with the kind of stupidity you've exhibited here.

Cool let us know how it turned out

This.
What kind of faggot asks cooking questions on the 'go'za & ja/ck/ board?
It turned out great. Overcooked a little but not ruined. I'm used to being paranoid about meat being cooked enough.
I love that salmon doesn't need complicated seasonings and you can get away with simplicity.
I appreciate you guys, really.

Fish is very delicate and in fact many people eat salmon a little underdone or raw it's quite normal. Either way enjoy. Next time you do it try just deducting the cooking time a few minutes.

You can eat salmon raw (sushi, sashimi, etc)
Also, when you're more comfortable doing it, don't cook salmon til it's 145f, it'll keep cooking to 150 -155 by itself. Notice the white stuff coming out? shouldn't do that.
