Our tap water is excellent, its even more clean and less polluted than those fancy spring water in a bottle, some fools pay a fortune for.

If you live in an area where the tap water is hard then you may want to think about filtering it for your kettle only. Hard water scales up the insides of kettles pretty easily.
Other than that you will get aids if you drink tap water.

Google your city or county's water quality test info. I think the local government sites have to publish it as per EPA shits and shit. It varies from place to place. Decide for yourself if you need to filter it. Some places, the water passes as "safe", but can still tastes like sulphur or chlorine.
