Did I overcook my ghee? First time and it looks a little dark, but it doesn't smell or taste burnt, smells nutty. I pulled it once the solids stopped foaming and sank

Hi friend, that definitely looks a little too dark. Try lowering the heat and waiting it out next time.
Now just store it in a cool cabinet for a day or two, and the ghee should somewhat solidify, should look like normal ghee but there might be dark liquid at the bottom. I'm sure it's still usable.
browned butter is delicious do not fret

G(h)ee I don't know.
that's maple syrup

Depends which cunt you ask. Some people just run with ghee = clarified butter. Some people insist ghee is what you made. Either way you made something tasty, so it will be good to use.

You made brown butter.
It's not ghee, but it's still good.
