I heard "antioxidant foods" are supposed to take out "free radicals" that can cause cancer however I don't know if that's legitimate science or just dietician / nutritionist buzzwords.

This is based of the free radical theory of aging - basically saying that antioxidants help reduce damage to your cells and thus reduces chances of cancer. All the evidence to date though is in animals and research in humans doesn't show strong proof that antioxidants actually do anything to prevent cancer.

That being said OP, there's no super food that'll prevent cancer. Living a healthy lifestyle (exercise, lots of water, lots of variety of fruits and veggies) is probably your best bet. Also sunscreen.
