sure, it's actually dead easy.

crushed tomatoes, canned x2
add water, one can
a handful of minced onion
garlic for days
fresh basil a generous helping
thyme a bunch
a wee bit of oregano
pinch of brown sugar

simmer for 1 hour, then add your meat and simmer for 1-2 hours until it's fork tender, if you don't have it, add some stock or bullion and simmer the whole thing down until desired consistency
