What could possibly motivate me to put uncooked egg on rice when I could use that same egg to make carbonara?

used to make it when i was a kid living with my parents, it's best to put in your egg when your rice has just finished and it's steaming hot. i throw the eggs in, wait like 3 minutes for it to cook a little then eat

I love egg on rice. One of my favorite breakfasts. Grill some pork belly on my griddle and then fry mushrooms and onion in the fat while the rice cooks. Once the rice is done, crack the egg over the rice which is still steaming and mix it in. Mushroom/onion mixture goes on top and I let it sit for a couple minutes while I clean up. Perfect everytime.
