In most instances the rice cooker is more important than the rice, to be quite honest.

AGED basmati
And real aged basmati, none of that trickery with yellow coloring like some of the cheap brands do.
If you can't get aged basmati, then I guess regular basmati will do.
Second choice would be Jasmine, both the white Jasmine, and the brown and red jasmine.
tamaki haiga mai is completely luxurious considering it's half-brown

I personally like Persian rice cooked in chicken broth. Before cooking the rice I hand wash it to remove gluten and make it unsticky.

Pretty challenging, removing gluten from a grain not containing any gluten.

Why? A rice cooker with a locking pressurized lid using a gasket produces a better taste and texture than a normal pot with a lift-off lid. They also free up valuable hob space for a different dish. Not sure what the backlash is against them here. Sure, you don't have to use one but they're simply better.
I like this rice, also pandan is pretty good
