Italian beef vs Philly Cheese steak

Italian beef at least has a bit of interesting flavor with the peppers.

Tough choice for sure but damn, those Italian, juice soaked sandwiches are better than 30 pieces of silver. It gets my vote.

But I do love a philly.

This. Both are trash, and not particularly interesting things to eat. They're dishes from a time when being able to afford even shit quality beef was proof you had arrived. Back when guys walked around with toothpicks in their mouths to show off that they had recently eaten meat and being fat meant you were successful.

Now if OP was talking Philly roast pork with broccoli rabe it would be a different story.

Philly CS with real cheese, some garlic, onions and mayo is top tier. The garlic really meshes well with it. Not a fan of cheese whiz phillys.
