I've hated carbonation all my life. Is it possible to train myself to enjoy it so I can eventually drink beer with my friends or enjoy soda?

Shut up you dont hate it
>>
Drink non-carbonated beer, like Guinness.
>>
I don't even notice beer carbonation. Or at least not when I'm drunk from better drinks.
>>
>>8252451
But I do hate it
>>
You could just not be a pussy and drink hard liquor.
>>
>>8252447
Why would you want to train yourself to enjoy something bad for you?

I wish i had your problem

I have to drink clear American sugar free seltzer to give off soda with meals

Dont get the fizzy monkey on your back. The calories, the acidity, it's all bad for you

Just drink lemonade and water and be happy

Beer is delicious and good for you, sodas are horribly bad for you and made for little children.

I hated carbonation too... Until my brother told me at the age of 20 that I could burp with my mouth open to prevent fizzy gas from destroying my nose. Kind of sad I couldn't figure that one out on my own in 20 fucking years.

Club Soda is not too unhealthy, compared to beer or coke anyway. Try some club soda or "sparkling water".

holy fuck

Actually real beer is barely carbonated. This whole foam and carbonation thing came when beer production was industrialized. Apart from private breweries, many english industrial beers kept this tradition.

Did one of your uncles tell you that? Because whoever did was yanking your chain.

>real beer is barely carbonated

That's going a bit far. The strong beers produced pre-industrialization carbonated naturally in their casks, perhaps not to the degree of the CO2 infused large scale beers now, but it still fizzed.

Small beer, though, might not have had much if any carbonation and in fact was sometimes of a thick porridge consistency.
