Why haven't more fast food places come up with gimmick fries?

I do Steak n Shake fairly often for the vinegar fries.
I had those exact Ore Ida garlic fries, were surprisingly good.
what's the best french fry though? I know the best shape is curly
Is there a way to make these oreida frozen fries good in the oven? They're either soggy or burned when I make them

Try double frying them.

You cannot 'crisp' anything in the oven. Maybe you should try cooking popcorn by throwing the seeds into the freezer and hope for the best.

yes you can, you just need something like canola oil on the baking sheet

confirmed fatty

I agree with your overall sentiment, but of all the flavors you could have suggested, why black pepper? Does the litium cause your hands to shake so badly that you cannot open the little packets of pepper every fast food place has and season them yourself?

I guess you are correct.

Black pepper is an easy-to-embrace flavor. If I advertise "umami flavor", it may sound like a turn off. Also fast food fries are a gamble each visit; seasoning immediately after cooking would yield a consistent flavor and coating that self seasoning cannot.
