Would you rather work as line cook 12 hrs/day or cleaning toilets 7 hrs/day?

Cleaner because at least you can slack off.
Can't do that on a line, you'd be murdered.
You have to tolerate less shit as a toilet cleaner.

The deciding factor is that I hate working with other people. Cleaning toilets would suck, but at least I'd be on my own. I'm introverted, and need several days of solitary after being around people. I don't answer the phone, door, or leave the house on my days off. I buy everything I need, and then lock myself in all weekend.
You could wear gloves, a respirator, boots, hazmat suit, etc. Even if they wouldn't provide those things for you, you could spend some of your income on it. I wouldn't be surprised if you came into fewer pathogens in a bathroom than a kitchen. In addition to that, a kitchen can be a dangerous place. Knives, fire, hot oil, slippery floors, just to name a few. You can also get dehydrated and God knows what else. The shorter days is going to be better for your mental health. Most people are working at least 8 hour days it seems, so 7 hours is already a bit of a deal.

Done both. Cleaning bathrooms is a better job.
