Today I make 강된장
Thick soybean paste stew with ground pork
50g green chili pepper
130g white onion
160g potato
150g ground pork
1tsp vegetable oil
2 clovesgarlic
3 tbls doenjang, soybean paste
Chop up all your veggies into bite size pieces
Here are the prepared veggies
Add one tsp of vegetable oil to you pot and fry pork and garlic together until pork is all cooked
I like cooking my stews in the stone bowl as it keeps it hot for a long time after being off the stove.
I only ended up using half of my potato (originally had 320g.
I would have made this in a larger pot but my roommate burnt the bottom of that one and has yet to clean it.
Add veggies to pork and garlic and cook until soft, about five minutes.
After veggies are soft, add water and 1/4 cup of doenjang. Bring to a simmer and cover. Cook for ten minutes until vegetables are all cooked through.
After ten minutes test to see if finished. Then eat!
I'm eating with seasoned soybean sprouts and kimchi. I added an egg to my soup as well
I would have rice but I forgot to soak any
you fucked up
you're supposed to add the doenjang after the food has cooked so you don't kill all the bacteria

That looks nice. I'll pick up some soybean paste tonight and see how my attempt looks in comparison .
Don't you have a rice cooker

I have my kimchi for bacteria

no, I'll get one eventually

Do you make your own doenjang? My wife does basically with soybeans, water, salt and time.

I live with two roommates, as much as I want to try I don't think they'd tolerate the smell.
Your roommate sucks.
