Is this shit really that great?

So maybe?

Care to elaborate?
It's very good, but certainly not the be-all-end-all. In my experiance a lot of 20+ year old whiskey is really overhyped.

Vince pls
Buffalo trace antique collection is miles above Pappy. I've tasted every vintage of Pappy, it's good but overrated and overpriced on the secondary market.
Lord yes. Having a double pour of it on my 21st was definitely a highlight.

It's very good, but the pricetag has little to do with the quality and everything to do with the fact that it's produced in very limited quantity.

Same distillery.

Any heavily wheated bourbon with some age on it is going to taste similar.
I prefer Buffalo Trace's cheaper offerings.
t. Kentuckyfag who lives half an hour from where Pappy is bottled

doesn't mean he isn't right. I've had all the Pappy's too and while they are good the cost does not meet the value of the product. Wheated bourbons just ain't where it at.

How much is it? I have drank 150 dollar bottles of whiskey and Pendleton 1910 rye is as smooth as the 150 dollar bottles for 45
>>8240108
When they sell it it's by lottery and costs about $300 a bottle. In the open market though it goes for 1k-3k. If it's served in a restaurant or bar it costs $100 a shot.

1910 is shit. What was the $150 bottle?
