Honestly, Peanut butter before bed will help.
/fit/ will be more knowledgeable in this subject, even if you're not trying to gain muscle. Just eat more calories is the most basic way to gain weight.

Don't bother with junk food. (yea I know they're a lot of fat fucks out there, but I bet they eat everything they can get their hands on)What a lot of people never understand is it takes energy to burn up all the sugar. Salt is no good. Plus it's empty calories. To gain weight eat "table food" as my grandmother used to tell me. Meat and potatoes kind of thing. Breads, pastas. It'll take awhile but it's food you body turns to fat and or muscle. Reduce your activity too. Don't turn into a couch potato but just slow down.

>how many meals a day?
I only eat a light lunch, usually because a heavy meal makes me slow down at work. I usually don't bother with breakfast either. But after work, it's game on. I usually eat a big dinner, and another around nine or ten. I eat enough good solid food I never have dessert or even think about. Get full on food, fuck the sweet shit. I gained about 25 pounds and never really tried. I'm 6'4" 195lbs. Used to weigh about a buck fifty a my best. Not over or under weight.

Go to /fit/.
Read the sticky.
It covers both diet (including how to gain mass in general), and exercise (which will help that mass not be flab, if you're interested in that).

>go to cronometer dot com (or any other calorie tracking website).
>enter all the food you're eat every day.
>do this for like a week without changing your diet.
>figure out how many calories you are eating per day on average
>start adding calories to that. both eat more food, and eat foods that are more calorie dense
>you can use cronometer to figure out which foods have more calories, if this isn't already apparent to you.
>do this for a few months

2,000 calories a day is normal. This guy prolly need to be hammering 3 or 4 to get busy. However he does it don't give up. It's like dieting. People don't see an immediate change they get discouraged. It takes awhile.
