>>
GOURDS
>>
>foodstable

wew lad
>>
>>8225267
>similar calories
Depending on what bean, it's like 4 times as calorie dense
>>8225268
Gourds? They're not a food stable
>>
>>8225263
Quinoa.
Oats.
Couscous.
Actually getting off your fat, obese, diabetic ass and doing some exercise.
Not drinking 2 gallons of soda a day.
Treating fast (junk) food as a treat only once in a while.
Not being ignorant
>You get the idea you fat cunt

Something better for losing weight than potatoes?

Not having any potatoes to eat.

t. Irishman
>>
>>8225263
One potato is nearly 200 calories though.
>>
>>8225283
All of those are more calorie dense
>>
>>8225299
That's a very big potato then.
Most potatoes are 770-780kcal per 1 kg.
>>
Only tofu
>>
All root vegetables have extremely low calories for their size and taste.
>>
>>8225263
Potatoes are great fatties just have a hard time not covering them in butter and sour cream
>>
>>8225345
Yup exactly
>>8225342
Yes but even among tubers potatoes are pretty low kcal. Sweet potatoes have a higher kcal density and it's revered as a health food. So I don't understand why some people perceive potatoes as fattening
>>
>>8225278
>Gourds? They're not a food stable

so much retart
>>
>>8225369
It's because some people are incapable of moderation. Eat potatoes by all means, just make sure at the end of the day your calories in is less than calories out and you will lose weight.
>>
>>8225389
Who eats past their tdee in potatoes? Youd need to eat like 3kg
>>
>>8225369
It's the new bogeyman of food.

Remember, if we don't have a new dietary bogeyman every year, americans get extremely nervous and jittery.

>Sweet potatoes have a higher kcal density and it's revered as a health food.
that doesn't even make sense intuitively, amyloplast starch is more compact than free sugar in plant cells

and even if we ignore this since when are calories the be-all end-all of health?
>>
>>8225426
What type of potato is that? Literally every type of potato around here hangs around 780kcal per 1000g and sweet taters about 880
>>
>>8225409
I wasn't implying you should eat potatoes exclusively, unless you're Irish, that is.

whichever the usda database puts in by default, here's several more

if yours are raw they could be accounting for the poor digestibility of the starch

Rice with vegetables.

That's not true. I have a slew of gastrointestinal issues that make it very hard for me to lose weight.

Not everyone who's concerned about weight management is some hambeast. Bodybuilders who are in a cut may be considering the easiest ways to maintain satiety while going on a calorie deficit.
Also, if OP is a fatty, it's totally reasonable for him to be thinking about what foods will help make this easier on him so that he sticks to it, if he's a food addict or hasn't developed much impulse control yet. Exercise, as you listed, is helpful in this and important overall... but your diet is going to have a much larger effect on weightloss than exercise.
>>
>>8225283
>couscous

Literally pasta.
>>
>>8225839
Pickles definitely have the best enjoyment-to-calorie ratio of anything but only worth eating as a meal when you're sick.
>>
>>8225263

when I was losing weight I would eat half a head of iceberg with balsamic before I engaged in my real meal. It's around 30 calories and the fiber fills you up, makes the steak and whatever else seem much more filling when you have a base of fiber in your gut. I would also try to drink 2 cups of water before meals also for the same reason
>>
>>8225369
>So I don't understand why some people perceive potatoes as fattening
People confuse deep fried potato chips with actual potato.

Seriously my #1 veggie at the moment. I eat 3-6 heads of cauliflower a week.

Penn is like 60. He went from before:
>having flab fill out a bunch of his wrinkles
to now:
>actually looking his age.

There's no problem with this. If a younger fatty were to do this, he wouldn't end up looking like Penn looks.
