I usually grill and/or smoke a shit load of meat on sunday for the whole week. I mix it up and try new stuff, but I always do wings. Fucking love grilled wings
>>
Planning meals ahead of time and preparing them is a great way to save money if you live alone. It's like having a frozen dinner that doesn't taste like bland wet shit.

Lookin' good.
>>
It looks good, but is the mash as bland as it looks?
I'm not directly shitting on it, it just looks a little under seasoned.
Maybe thats how you like your mash though, OP?
>>
Recently got a slow cooker.

I throw in whatever meat I feel like, wait for a few hours and have it for the rest of the week.
>Made roast beef
>its like xmas dinner every fucking day
>>
>>8215633
How can you tell that mashed potatoes look underseasoned? Can you see how much salt, pepper, butter, and cream are in there? No, you can't. Shh.
>>
>>8215138
Tupperware box doesn't conserve food. Your food is not fresh after the first 48hours in the fridge.
>>
I actually don't really like leftovers, excluding beef stew and curry.

Sometimes I'll throw a shitload of chicken or pork into the crock pot, shred it and eat it in various meals through the week but that's it.
>>
>>8216210
>airtight containers don't preserve food
Holy shit we need to alert the food banks

>plastic
Enjoy your estrogen and all the chemical in your food
Glass is fine for short period of conservation but not the week.

What quantities of estrogen does it give your food?
>>
>>8215189
My sis and Mom do this. Teacher life and whatnot.
I make each meal as I go along, usually I'll make a quick meal in the morning alongside with my breakfast so that I can bring a lunch with me.
>>
>>8216276
A lot of plastics used for food and drink distribution/storage leech off a type of chemical that is the same class of chemical as the estrogen hormones in your body. Conspiracy nuts think this is the reason the current generation has a lot of pussified men. The fact that they leech into your food is fact, whether this particular estrogen compound affects people at the doses the plastic leeches out in the way that these people claim they do, it is still uncertain.

>premake meals
So, make my meals before they're my meals? I guess I've done that, but I just call it 'sandwich-lying.'
Just make a sandwich for someone and when you're about to give it to them, yell "I LIED!" and eat it.

ARE YOU CALLING ME A SANDWICH LIAR?!?!?
>>
>>8215138
I havent had the desire to do this yet, mostly cause id rather skip lunch at college. Making quick breakfasts are at the top of my list tho, maybe frozen burritos cause the El Monterrey ones are so small and shitty.
I have done a quick thing like making a whole batch of taco filling and eating it over the weekend tho
>Pack of chicken
>Stock
>spices
>Beans
>rice optional, makes it gruel-y tho
>Simmer 2 hours, pull apart chicken
>>
>>8215138
Yes, pic related. While it doesn't look very appetising, it's delicious.

Chicken breast, asparagas, carrot and potato covered in a home made gravy with garlic and cayenne.

I made 4 meals in 1 batch and am eating them each day for lunch this week.
>>
Fuck forgot pic
>>
>>8216870
Looks pretty appetizing to me. I'd leave out the asparagus because I don't like it, but that looks fire
>>
>>8216893
You could replace the assburgers with green beans. I only used it because it was $1 per bunch at the supermarket last week so I bought 10 bunches
>>
>>8215138
I used to. Now I just bring in sandwich making stuff to the office with some canned soup cause its easier.
>>
>eating left overs

no thanks, id rather just make a sandwich and bring a bag of chips everyday
>>
>>8216893
>not liking spergers
toss in butter, white wine, salt and pepper; grill for 10 minutes
>>
>>8217312

>grill for ten minutes

who hurt you? overcooked asparagus isn't the worst thing in the world but it definitely makes the top 5
>>
my first job was picking rotten fruit off of a conveyor in a fruit packing shed when i was 16
i was miserable and away from home and it was the first time in my life i had to wake up at like 4:30-5:00am for something
i started making breakfast sandwiches for myself
>bake biscuits
>let cool and cut
>insert frozen breakfast patty sausage
>sometime's i'd put slices of cheese on them
>wrap and freeze
>microwave in the morning
>usually i'd fry an egg really quick and put it on aswell

it was in the middle of summer and it would get to 85 by around 9am
i was first in line on the conveyor belt and the fruit was flash frozen so i was always kept relatively cool by the fruit
but yeah if i didn't eat in the mornings i was basically useless
>>
I always cook in big batches, except when its something I can just stick onto a skillet.

I just made six stuffed bell peppers, which fortunately is pretty easy once you know the motions.

The secret to a good stuffed bell pepper stuffing is cream cheese by the way.
>>
>>8217383
5 per side on indirect heat is hardly overcooked
>>
Will tofu be a good meat replacement for these meals?

Not vegan or anything but Irather have just veggies and maybe sardines from a tin can for these meals.
>>
>>8215138

I usually make big pots of soup, porridge or pasta, but not for the whole week. 2-4 days of easy dinners, I'll take care of the rest as it comes.
>>
>>8217691
Try seitan (wheat gluten) or beans.
>>
>>8215138
is that vanilla puddi? gibbe pls

This was my meal for today.
>>
>>8217840

Mmmm...

"food"
>>
>>8217840

Da fuck you lay 4 tiny strips of green pepper over your shitty rice for?
>>
>>8217840
Looks good.
>>
>>8217878
I had some pepper left and just put it on top of the "rice" which is actually barley.
>>
>>8216904
This is why you're fat or skinny fat.
>>
Suggestions on some things to make at the start of the week for a quick but nice lunch? I find myself eating on campus way too much lately.
>>
>>8215138
Very rarely, mostly for summers, I make a big couscous salad with chickpeas, onion, garlic, olive oil and some bell pepper. The rest I do is fresh or simple sandwiches.
