Korean food is superior to Japanese food in every way.
Discuss
>>
I like both.
>>
It's a matter of preference.

I prefer Japanese cooking 100 fucking percent because it rarely has domestic dog. You'd get my vote otherwise.

I draw the goddamn line on a number of mammals and that's one of them. No clawed mammals.

Or dolphins, or whales, or anything that you fucked up little shits prepare.

>teraditional Jeawpanewse meawl
>whale, dolphin

No fucker.

It would have been just as easy to get some big-eye tuna but you wanted to play the fuck-around game. I'm offending you right back.
>>
>>8205424
dog is barely ever eaten in korea nowadays, mostly by old people who go "hurr durr tradition". younger people mostly think of dogs as cute pets and wouldnt eat them.
>>

I like both, but I made doenjang chiggae tonight for dinner.
>>

Both Korean and Japanese food are just quaint snacks, I don't know why people rave about it?

It's neither tasty or filling.
>>

Nope, I'm not American.
But it seems that it's only Koreans, Japanese and Americans that think this stuff is good anyway.

The good Korean food is very delicious. However, improvement of the overall quality is necessary.
The restaurant of Korea should stop offering the leftover of the visitor to other visitors.

붕어빵 is very delicious.
The Japanese made Ramen from Chinese noodles. The Korean made 붕어빵 from Taiyaki.
This is the very delicious cake which is different from the taiyaki.

Both of them are good for health, and each food has its unique taste. So I can't decide which one is better.

I grew up eating Japanese food at home (part of my family are from Kobe) so I'm more familiar with it than I am with Korean and might therefore have a cultural bias for this following statement, but it seems like a lot of it is just Japanese food with more garlic, more sesame oil and more chilli.
I like both J and K cuisines, mind you, just that K seems like a knock-off version.

I've grown to like dwenjang more than red miso, though I don't think Koreans have anything similar to white miso.

Westerner here, Living in Korea. Korean food fucking sucks ass. Its shit. Literal Garbage.

They unironically put American plastic cheese on Sushi. After just a few days Youve tried everything and get to experience just how fucking one dimensional their food is. Even a lot of Kreans admit to disliking Korean food. Why the fuck do you think there's Subway, Burger King, McD, Japanese places, Mexican places, even Euro food everywhere? Korean food is a gimmick at best and intolerable at worst.

Name 5 good traditional Korean dishes. I'll wait.

I've lived in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, India.. They all have more refined and more varied cuisines. You have utter shit taste.

..at least the girls are cute and into Euros..

You're a complete idiot. Korean food is often very fatty, plus lots of starches like rice cake, often times loaded with cheese and often high in sodium. If its not "filling" its due to you being a landwhale. It has objectively more fat (avg meal) than Viet, Thai, Indonesian, Japanese, Cambodian... Etc food. Only China comes close in Asia.

>>8207359
Why does the Korean mix it?
Does the Korean not arrange food to a lunch box beautifully?
Is it not spoiled by mixture?
>>
>>8207864
I do that shit all the time. It's mostly for white people since they don't enjoy foods outside of their accepted staples so I trick them into trying something exotic and they end up enjoying it. It's great seeing reactions when they like a food but refuse to eat any more of it since they don't like what it's made of.
>>
>>8205417
Not even Koreans think this.

Japanese restaurants in Korea outnumber Korean restaurants in Japan by a great margin.

How would you describe the broths for each? My hometown is under 300 km from the korean border, and naengmyeon is popular. I've tried replicating it with sugar, rice vinegar, and gochujang, to some success. Relatives who visited SK told me they didn't like the salty/non-sweet naengmyeon there, and I've only had grocery store packs of korean naengmyeon broth, but it wasn't sweet either.

>The BBC claims that in 2003, approximately 4,000–6,000 restaurants served soups made from dog meat in Korea.[6] The soups cost about US$10 while dishes of steamed dog meat with rice cost about US$25. The BBC claims that 8,500 tons of dog meat are consumed per year, with another 93,600 tons used to produce a medicinal tonic called Gaesoju (개소주).[6]
>During the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, the South Korean government urged its citizens not to consume dog meat in order to avoid bad publicity during the games, along with a request to butcher shops not to hang dog carcasses in the windows.[23]

naengmyeon soup will be usually made with korean naengmyeon bouillon. It is ordinary taste. It is taste same in Korea and Japan.
There are a lot of recipes of the naengmyeon soup. However, English is not found.
The link which I discovered.

http://a8whubby.xyz/2016/08/09/korean-bibim-cold-noodle/

increase sugar appropriately.

Special bouillon is used for really delicious naengmyeon soup.
It is soup done at the time of production of the kimchi which is not hot.
I ate really delicious naengmyeon only once.

Side note: when I was in Korea in the early 80's, I worked in a small town 40 miles outside Seoul, but lived in Seoul. On the drive every morning you would see pumper trucks unloading the collected feces and urine from the Seoul public restrooms into the rice fields. The smell in summer was distinctly retch inducing. Needless to say, I didn't eat a lot of rice in Korea.

So I should be held accountable for other countries meat industry? In my country most meat are domestic and imported meats are mainly from countries like Denmark, who also have relatively high animal protection laws. We don't have shitty American subpar meat. Also pigs are pigs, they are specifically bred for being carriers of meat, they are not bred for being pets. If you compare a labrador to a pig then you're not being honest. Dogs are worldwide considered to be a mans friend and partner, together with cats the most common pet. There's a reason why people choose to have a Lab as a pet instead of eating it like pic related.
>>
Bugogi and Korean beef ribs are great.

My main issue is getting like 5 side dishes of random pickled food which isn't that good in addition to the main course.
>>
Japanese cuisine is undoubtedly better, not just if you compare raw Korean and Japanese cuisine but more so if you take eating in Japan vs eating in Korea.

Japan in terms of restaurant range, food produce quality and domestic cuisine development is almost unmatched in the world apart from perhaps places like France or Italy.
