Ah, for that authentic carbonara.

My mother used to make this dead simple shrimp dish that was just shrimp cooked in a butter and wine sauce and served over rice with peas. I'd gobble that shit up all the time when i was little.

mix them with mayo salt and pepper, p good that way. throw some canned corn in there too if you have it, balances out some of the acid from the peas with some sweetness.
