All I want is one day a week where I can just sit back, relax, drink and fucking listen to music and watch some films and stuff and apparently that means I have a problem.

you should be able to drink when you get home from work and chill to a couple movies like you say. Not judging but if you react badly, maybe you should re-evaluate things and consider quitting. If it's not you reacting badly just do what I do - get home, get drink in me while thinking of what to watch, once drunk put on meal, put on movie/stream/youtube playlist and only then start eating. Every night I do this feels amazing and never get too fucked so I'll feel miserable the next day - drink more throughout night every 30 minutes or so. It's incredibly unhealthy but doesn't ruin my routine.

Irish cream really only works in coffee. If you're making stronger tea, I'd recommend a little bit of vodka. What I do is put bitters in my tea, typically angostura.

So I drank heavily at a party a week ago, it was my first time getting drunk (I used to drink small amounts socially prior) and I realized just now that I was able to chug some fireball and all I remember is is that it tasted like real sweet cinnamon with none of the bite from whiskey I had prior.

Well I got some fireball now and it tastes like garbage while sober.

Did me being drunk have something to do with enjoying this swill?

When drunk, more alcohol is always tasting great, which lead me to have many instances of vomiting hangovers when i kept drinking all night long, just because once I got a buzz, I couldn't get enough of sipping on something for hours. I slowly got shitfaced out of my mind.

Best advice is to switch out of alcohol when you get a nice buzz, and get back into it when the high starts to drop down.

When is the last time you threw up from drinking al/ck/?
I had a good streak going, think it was maybe 6-7 years but I vomited last weekend.
Was already feeling queezy but wanted to drink more and that shot did me in hard, almost didnt make it to the bathroom

Even though I've drank myself drunk every night for the last 12 years, I too find debate nights to be a special occasion, so I switched off of vodka and back to cheap Canadian whiskey.
Cheap whiskey makes my hands seize up the next day, and after a few weeks I spit up blood.

Pretty much anything you start drinking at the end of your night will taste like shit if you try and start a night with it. Had the same experience you did with Fireball. Got wasted on cheap tequila that tasted like shit then had a couple shots at a party and thought it was fantastic so I got a handle. Is it possible to go back to just drinking socially after being a full blown alcoholic? I've not drank for 34 days now and I feel better but I never go out anymore. I used to drink morning till night or until I passed out. Just bought a litre of vodka and 2 bottles of wine. My girlfriend said she'd leave if I started drinking heavily everyday again because she basically watched me slowly killing myself puking blood every other morning etc.. It sounds fucked up but my body wouldn't stop trying to be sick until I forced enough alcohol down to stop it.

If it's clear it's good put it in some black coffee and it covers the taste off completely and you get buzzed faster because of the caffeine. Same with zero calorie energy drinks and clear alcohol.
