No, it's not. It's shit. Just like most other American mustards. It's not as shitty as, say, French's. But that's hardly an endorsement.

thankfully, good imported mustard is easily available in the US so it's not like we're stuck eating that crap...

I love Inglehoffer Stone Ground for being full of mustard flavor, popping little seeds, but low on vinegar. I think it's the best.

I appreciate Zatarains creole mustard, But, I appreciate all kinds of mustards, the colmans, the deli style mustards like batampe, the very hot stuff, the wine laced ones, all of them. I will buy german mustard, too, but it's not oh ahh better, typically hotter though. I think it's a mood, or what goes best with your meal and I'l usually have at least 3 types in my fridge.

I really like this one.

It's with fig but still has a very strong mustard taste. Works with dishes you would use sweet or spicy mustard.

Best with cheese though

I did a year in the Netherlands. That's the only place I've come across this, so maybe it's not available in the US.

It was pretty spicy. Not sure if this is the exact one. It had a different label (Dutch, obviously you fucking retard, I'm the retard). But the texture and color looks similar. Had to be careful with it though. Had like whole mustard seeds in it. Really spicy but a lot of good flavor.
>>

This is what I use during the week for my deli sandwiches. Pretty good.

I love this one but it's hard to find. Seems like only Walmart or Meijers carries it in my experience and they're not really within my area that'd I'd be willing to go to just for msutard. But I love this one.

I have at least 5 bottles of mustard in my kitchen, but this one is my favorite all-purpose mustard. It's mild and smooth enough that you can use it in pretty much anything, but spicy enough that you'd never reach for a bottle of French's yellow or whatever the ordinary brands are.

If you want foreign foods, go on the internet and find a company that will send goods to you. Buy the goods and even with postage, it is cheaper than buying from you local store. Admittedly, you do have to order a fair bit. But you don't have to order just mustard. They sell other thing too.

>Buy the goods and even with postage, it is cheaper than buying from you local store

That depends a LOT on what you're buying. At my local supermarket I can buy the large can of English Colman's for $4.00. The shipping alone from mail-order would cost more than that. Many supermarkets have excellent international sections with reasonable prices. Some don't.
>>
>>8193215
>is that even real mustard

It is literally the only brand in this thread that is 100% pure mustard with nothing else added. It's ground mustard seed. That's it. Nothing else. Just mustard.
>>
>>8193219
>I'm trying to save you dollars.

You don't realize that you can walk into must US supermarkets and buy that right off the shelf. There's no need to pay $$$ to have it shipped to you. It's readily available.
>>
>>8193238
you are talking about buying one item. buy lots of items and the postage gets cheaper
>>
>>8193253

>>only one item
Well sure. This is a mustard thread, not a "fill the pantry" thread.

>>buy lots of items
Sure, I can see how it could be useful in some circumstances. I guess it depends on your local options though.
>>
>>8193246
how much do you pay for it?
>>
>>8193271
At my local supermarket in Texas:
2oz can $3.39
4oz can $4.79

I normally buy the smaller can because even though it's more expensive per unit weight it keeps fresher longer. A small can lasts me months.

yeah, and cooking wise I'd probably only use it in salads and then in reasonably copious amounts so it actually gets on everything.
Another special mustard I like is sweet mustard.
I know pic related is probably the most bog standard brand money can buy, but it does the job nicely. Haven't gotten to try many kinds, especially since I need it rarely.

Also it basically has its own religion in eastern Germany.
