Not really. I was born in 96 and I can't remember any of my friend's parents having reservations about trick or treating when we were younger. Of course I also grew up in a relatively nice suburban neighborhood so that might also have something to do with it.

my town has actually banned that. you cannot park your car on the street from 4pm-12am on halloween. ive heard rumors that you get kicked out of town if cops catch you driving kids around town without the appropriate town stickers too, but i doubt the legality of that

All this halloween candy talk broke down my will last night. Bought a 375 gram bag of rockets (smarties) and ate them all in one sitting. I did the math. I ate fifty of them in under an hour.
