I made an extremely simple vegetable soup with potatoes, onions, carrots, and peas. Seasoned simply with salt and pepper. I eat it regularly with a bit of fried side meat and some bread.

It's damn good.

Same pretty much.
Although I like to use Lemongrass and Chilies so you have some heat and kick in there that's not just the black pepper.

Soup is probably the oldest homo sapiens food. Draw out all the nutrients from everything you throw in. Every aboriginal tribe pre-contact with "civilization" had it as a staple. Learn, grasshopper, learn.

Anyone else notice how Wonton Soup smells like dick?

Soup of the day at the diner was squash with sage butter. Had a very sweet, smooth, and creamy profile. Paired well with a tuna melt.

Potato soup best soup.

Just made some today or dinner; rich and creamy, meat and vegetables, good nutrients, fair on calories, what more is there to ask for?

Firstly, simmering shit forever doesn't make a good stew. There's liquid fat floating there. Secondly, why the fuck is there whole corn cob in the stew? Also if you're going to leave the meat on the bone is it a soup meant to be eaten by hand?!
>>
I've never tried it myself before but is it true that potatoes absorb the salt from a salty soup?

this is tough. i think that chili has so many implementations that it could be considered its own thing separate from soup, but at the same time it is very similar to soup in all its forms. i have to go with soup.

here's another tough one: is cereal in milk a soup?
