Which pie is better? End the debate, take the straw-poll: http://www.strawpoll.me/11405238/r
Bumping with pictures oh the respective candidates. Starting with Pumpkin.
Holy shit neither. Nobody likes fucking pumpkins. If people liked pumpkins we would eat them all year long.

There is an option for Bean Pie

People do eat pumpkins all year long, idiot.
The reason everything goes pumpkin crazy in October and November is because that's when pumpkins are being harvested. They take a long time to grow.
But, they also keep for a long time, and the flesh of cooked pumpkins freezes beautifully and can be used in savory dishes just like you would use winter squashes or sweet potatoes. I always buy a big basket of pumpkins and roast them and freeze the flesh for later. Pumpkin soup, pumpkin pasta, pumpkin pizza dough, pumpkin casserole, pumpkin curry, pumpkin anything. It's as versatile a vegetable as eggplant, other squash, or potatoes. And canned pumpkin isn't pumpkin, it's Hubbard squash, and is perfectly good in savory dishes as well as sweet.
That said, I prefer Frangelico-laced sweet potato pie with a orange-pecan crust.

I hear bean pie is pretty damn good, but I've never had the chance to try it myself. Do you have a good recipe?
I have never had a slice of sweet potato pie that didn't make me retch. And I love regular sweet potatoes. For the life of me I can't fathom what it is about the pie that causes that.

Why do you pretend to like pumpkins? It's OK in the fall but you can stop in December.

The only person "pretending" here is you. You're delusional.

If pumpkins keep so well, and they're loved so much. How come you don't see people eating them all year?

I do see people eating them all year. You just live in bumfuck nowhere.

I have no idea how I managed to link that. I must have accidentally copied it. Pay no attention.

Your computer knew what the correct answer was.

People do, it just doesn't get talked about until fall. Some foods are seasonal, that's all. A similar example would be minty flavors that are available all year round but become more popular during the winter.
Also pumpkin pie is better.
>>8173127
if you're Asian you do
>>8173092
Yeah for some reason I've only had 1 sweet potato pie that was good. Idk. I think people add too much sugar or something.
